Picked this little sportster up recently, this will the new daily rider. 1200 bottom end, thunderstorm heads, bored to 1250cc, cam and race carb. She needs some work to get it going but it shouldn't be long. Check back for progress.
Here it is, I know it a bit late but its better than never. This is the triumph frame with the BSA motor in it. This thing was a super tight fit and as a result the motor mounts needed to be able to come completely off the frame to not take up any space to be able to squeeze the motor in.I utilized the stock lower mounting sleeve with some precision cutting and calculations, and fabbed the front and rear mounts from scratch. There's less than 1/4 inch to spare in the loop from front to rear, very very tight fit.
My brother just picked up this snazzy little sportster. Slapped some new bars on it and he's been riding the shit outta it. This fine machine was a craigslist score. 69' sportster, hunt magneto, 21" up front, 16" out back, simple and down to the point.
